Newton Fedorko: Editors ARE journalists. You can't edit anything unless you know how to report and write first. That business is all about working your way up the ladder. It is TOUGH and takes a lot of hard work. The fashion industry is also difficult. That's the first thing you should prepare yourself for when thinking about this type of career. I would say you would need dual degrees in journalism and fashion merchandising or design. Some colleges may offer special fashion journalism courses - Columbia College in Chicago and Stephens College in Missouri - are two of them, but you'll probably have to do a lot of searching for the school that suites you best....Show more
