I want to learn computer networking?

Bryan Avinger: Depends on what you want to learn..the hardware side or software configuration side...How big a network? The best way is to actually set up a network and get your hands on actually doing it. Set up a server and a couple of clients. There is A LOT of information out there and there's not a true "fast and easy" way to get it down.

Go to a university for a 3-4 degree in computer science, and do some specialization. You can also go to a college for a 2 year diploma, which will also give you a good amount of education. If you're already in a career and want to switch, I suggest you go the college route - you can get some information faster. If you're in a career and your current employer will help you switch, ask them to pay for some training....Show more
