Shon Almquist: Your Home Theater System is not a receiver so it doesn't have any HDMI inputs. You have to connect optical cable from PS3 to this sound system for audio.
Debora Rinderer: That's the problem with most of those home theater in a box systems very inflexible, you would probably have to connect the PS3 to the TV with HDMI then another optical cable for audio to the home theater...I would recommend getting an inexpensive receiver like the Sherwood RD 5404 or the Pioneer VSX 520 which is going to be a lot more flexible and have better sound...
Floyd Labuda: Home theatre systems consist ofa) speakers and base (not important for this)b) reciever (bingo)the reciever may only have 1 hdmi out, but how many IN does it have. here's what you do:hook your ps3 up to the reciever via hdmi IN. then plug the reviever into your tv (from hdmi out). what this does is pass the video signal through the reciever to the tv, whilst enhancing the audio. you can have as man! y things as the reciever allows going in, it only needs one out as it will be the switch board (like when you have to change inputs on the tv to do different things). this probably means you'll have to use multiple remotes or get a universal remote....Show more
Eliseo Luma: you only need 1 out, that goes to your tv, the rest will be hdmi imputs...the more imputs the merrier
