Raymundo Kyser: Transfer from TiVo to your computer is simple and easy. Here's a link to the instructions on the TiVo site http://www.tivo.com/4.9.4.1.asp. No need for an expensive converter. I have used this many times, particularly when I want to watch my weekly shows when traveling (especially flying).
