Can anyone recommend some herbs I can incorporate into my landscape?

Alma Twomey: Rosemary is virtually indestructible, and needs very little water to boot. You can find varieties with both purple and blue little flowers. Thyme is also very hardy, and there are "creeping" varieties that are nice in rock gardens.

Kenneth Thuesen: Lavendar is gorgeous and fragrant.Bee balm has pretty red flowers and is very fragrant and draws hummingbirds and makes a lovely little bush that you should cut to the ground every winter.Chamomile is truly lovely and informal like little daisies.Basil is the best culinary herb and really easy to grow as an annual, even if it's not particularly showy. Some new varieties even look like flowers.Thyme is a great landscaping plant. It works very well in the cracks between pavers or slabs of concrete. I actually like the dark green ruffles of curly parsley and it's easy to control as well as delicious.Sage can be very pretty and comes in a lot of different varieties. It can be silver and fuzzy and smell like! pineapple.Dill and fennel might add interest if they are mixed in with flowers. If you don't want to spend a lot of time working on your garden, then be careful about mint or borage. Both of them can take over....Show more

Zelma Casebier: I have a natural garden I live in the uk so weather is unpredictable here frost in winter and can if we are lucky have hot summers herbs i grow that do really welllavender, rosemary, angelica, mint, rocket, oregano and thymewith mint i would suggest planting in the container as the roots run and it will take over your garden, with all the herbs i cut them back in the winter and they all come up again they do have a lifespan of around 2 to 3 years then they tend to go leggy apart from the lavender which gets better every year....Show more

Eulah Hugill: I live in Zone 6 and would recommend lavender if you're looking for color. It's very easy to grow and requires very minimal care. Basil also grows ridiculously fast, but it doe! sn't put off any blooms. Rosemary is another good choice and ! it has blooms. Chives can grow and look similar to "monkey grass" with slimmer leaves, would break up the round bush look throughout your flower bed.

Boyce Gilhooly: Bee Balm and lemon balm, both are fragrant, hardy, and easy to grow in your zone.
